Last summer I visited my girlfriend at her cabin, and her parents put us to work maintaining the paint. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and we were given some charming old rags to work in. While we were painting I realised we had a location, props and styling, so as soon as we were done I dug out the single flash strobe I had brought for just such an occasion and combined it with the sunlight for some really harsh, nasty lighting.
As you can see I also took the opportunity to experiment with some grungey texture overlays. Suffice to say that that particular “look” has not been revisited since.
A dear friend of mine agreed to pose for me while we were having a swim/picnic in Oslo. The texture of the rocks there is quite cool, although not too comfortable to sit on I imagine.
I wanted a kitschy, dreamlike colouring, and went with orange, turquoise and a hint of purple.
And another one.
For this one I was a bit sloppy with the shooting. Neither Photoshop nor Autopano would return a usable image, so I decided to stitch it manually. If you don’t see any odd seams then I don’t either.
Posed and shot in about five minutes time in between orchestra rehearsals. The girl was a natural and a great sport.
Two brenizer-effect images I made this summer. It’s quite an interesting technique, even if it is a little unpredictable.
Trying out and thinking about some new things. If all goes to plan I’ll have some more polished work to show in not too long. For now, I like these.
