dc-p asked: what lens and camera do you use for your portraits they are absolutely amazing!
Thanks!
I use a 7D, so no fancy full-format here (yet), and recently I’ve been shooting with a 58mm Helios 44-2. That’s an old manual Soviet lens, a copy of the Carl Zeiss Biotar, and it’s easily, and cheaply, available on Ebay. I suggest you google around if you’re interested! It has very nice and messy bokeh, as you can see.
Not quite as important, but still worth mentioning, is I’ve been using VSCOs film presets for Lightroom for these past couple of posts. I find they suit the lens.
Photoshop and a beautiful girl help too, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise.
PS: Your compositions are wonderful.
